Paige Spiranac is an American YouTube golf instructor with over 260,000 subscribers and 3.3 million instagram followers. Spiranac has played division 1 golf, and has won honours over the 2012–13 and 2013–14 season. She often makes predictions and talks about her favourite golfers and sportspeople on several occasions.
The former golfer, now turned influencer has a very famous Instagram account that goes by the name Paige Renee. However, that wasn’t always her Instagram username. She had to change it due to unforeseen circumstances.
Why did Paige Spiranac change her Instagram Username?
“I was very conflicted because I got the username Paige Renee because I was being stalked and harassed in college by these girls and so I had to delete my Instagram,” Spiranac explained according to nypost.com. “It was really bad, they were stalking me on campus.”
She said that it was about a boy- the strength trainer- when she used to play Division 1 college golf at both the University of Arizona and San Diego State University. “I clearly had no interest in him but they thought I did. I think that’s what it ended up being, who knows,” she continued. Spiranac then deleted her old account, and went by the name Paige Renee. Even as her Instagram account soared, the name remained the same- and it remains the same even now.
