Paige Spiranac’s golfing career
Paige Spiranac is one of the most recognizable faces in the golfing industry at the moment. Despite not being an active competitor, she has amazed a huge fan following through her golf lessons. All of this came after she decided to quit the Ladies PGA (LPGA).
Spiranac was a professional golfer before but like many promising talents, struggled to make her name on the tour. She started off like many as a college athlete in Arizona. During her days as a college golfer, she won the All-Mountain West Conference title.
She turned professional in 2015 and made her debut at the Omega Dubai and competed in the Cactus Tour where she won her first title in 2016. Unfortunately for her, she was unable to make the cut at the LPGA and failed to earn the card for the LPGA Tour despite playing on the LPGA European Tour. Following all these setbacks, she retired from the sport as a professional in 2019.
She though did not give up on golf and explored social media. She would start off by uploading her golf content on these platforms. Since then she has amazed over 3.9 million followers on Instagram, has been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and features of Golf Digest, and speaks on several golfing topics on her podcast, “Playing a Round with Paige“.
As the internet sensation rapidly increases her content, she now wants to improve her golf skills as well. She will likely keep on updating her followers about her progress which could give them a unique experience as well. While how much Spiranac improves her game now remains to be seen, it is likely going to be a fascinating journey for her as well.
