Twitter banter and sparring are common among sports fans. This time, golf fans are amused by the heavy exchange of words between political commentator Nick Adams and former golfer and social media personality Paige Spiranac. The two got into a heated exchange following Adams’ comment on Twitter about women’s golf.
For those unaware, Paige Sprianac is a social media personality and former golfer. She is also a model for PointsBet and a golf instructor. She has played Division 1 college golf at the University of Arizona and San Diego State University and won the All-Mountain West Conference in the 2012-13 and 2013-14 seasons. She also led the Aztecs to their first Mountain West Conference Championship in 2015.
On the other hand, Nick Adams is an Australian-American conservative political commentator and author known for his explicit and outright support for former US President Donald Trump. He was even endorsed by President Trump in 2017 on Twitter for his book Green Card Warrior. He is infamous for his homophobic and sexist views and differing political ideologies.

It all started when Nick Adams posted on January 7 a tweet complaining about the pace of women’s golf games. He says,
“Can’t there be a par 3 course set aside for the slow female golfers who don’t clog up the championship courses on the weekends? There’s no reason women should be allowed to slow down the pace of play on a beautiful Saturday like today!”
This sexist remark did not go down well with fans and Paige Spiranac. Nick Adam often uses the term ‘Alpha Male’ on his social media platforms. Alpha Male is the strongest, most dominant, and most powerful male in any social group. They usually consider themselves top of the pack and the most successful among all other men. This is ideally a way to see men as superior sex and view women within a hierarchy of social division.
Paige takes an epic dig on Nick Adams, saying she would be satisfied by driving him all day long.
When Nick Adams replies in an offensive tone by disqualifying her work and claim to fame, Paige once again takes a dig against Adams by mocking his ‘Alpha Male’ title.
This was a savage and witty reply for Paige to assert her self-worth and esteem. The fans have started supporting the social media star in numbers. Here is how some of the fans showed their support for Spiranac in the comments. They have also criticized Adams for his sexist view on sports.
The internet, along with Paige Spiranac, did have an engaging spat and banter to compete against the ideas of Nick Adams. They clearly checkmated him on his thoughts and ideas, which consisted of him mostly spewing sexist and gender-biased remarks on women in sports.
