As the new season of LIV Golf draws closer, fans are eager to see the action get underway. However, there now seems to be a major development taking place regarding one of the league’s stars. Pat Perez is reportedly separating from his wife Ashley Perez.

As per reports from BroBible, the 47-year-old golfer is going through a troublesome phase in his career. The outlet found that he and his wife have deleted several photos of them together from their social media handles.

The petition to dissolve their marriage has been filed at the Maricopa County Superior Court. This divorce will bring an end to his nine-year marriage with Ashley with whom he tied the knot in 2014. The couple are also parents of two.

At the moment, the four-time PGA Tour winner has a net worth in the region of $13 million. As the details of the case are not known, the division of his assets cannot be calculated yet.

After struggling to make a name for himself on the PGA Tour, Perez stuck gold when he was approached by LIV Golf. The golfer saw this as his chance and jumped ships over to the breakaway tour.

This move though was not appreciated by the fans. They would attack him on social media for selling out like others. At this moment Ashley came into his support.

She would threaten the trollers on her Instagram Live and boldly dared to block anyone who ill-worded her spouse. Such a beautiful relationship built on trust and support is now coming to an end.

Last year the couple came into the spotlight on two occasions. In June 2023, a report revealed that 45-time PGA Tour winner Phil Mickelson once showed some pictures to Ashley which left her offended.

She would also take issue with Rory McIlroy during the Ryder Cup. Regarding his HatGate fiasco with Patrick Cantlay, she claimed to want to punch the 34-year-old golfer in the face.

So far the reason for this divorce has not been disclosed. This topic is likely going to dominate the golf conversations as a long relationship will be coming to an end.
