Patrick Reed is at it again. The clouds at Fox Sports have turned rather turbulent with a $250 million lawsuit slapped by Patrick Reed and his lawyer. It’s not just them, it’s many media members and houses that will now be struck in a lawsuit for the golf community’s disgust.

Golf Channel’s Damon Hack, Shane Bacon, as well as Golfweek, columnist Eamon Lynch are all muddled in the new lawsuit filed. Larry Klayman, the lawyered-up brain behind the claim, has included Shane Ryan (author), Hachette, the New York Post and Fox Sports, as well as Associated Press golf writer Doug Ferguson in a rather outrageous court action.

The whole community seemed struck with some taking it to the internet to note their opinions. Dan Rapaport tweeted in a rather baffled tone stating Patrick Reed was on to a load of BS, with Larry Klayman as his wingman. Fans started commenting on the tweet with an array of reactions, with some even calling Reed a ‘Giant Baby’.

The lawsuit has made rather serious claims against the writer Shane Ryan whose two compositions, ‘Slaying the Tiger: A Year Inside the Ropes on the New PGA Tour’ and ‘The Cup They Couldn’t Lose: America, The Ryder Cup, and The Long Road to Whistling Straits’ recently hit the market. The whole story is that Patrick Reed and his lawyer allege Shane and the associate for a compounded and republished thread of a series of defamatory attacks.

“My client, his family, and colleagues have been made the whipping boy of cheap and dishonest journalists in the golf media, like Shane Ryan, who feed at the trough of the PGA Tour, a tour that historically mistreated Mr. Reed,” said Klayman supporting their side of the story. The controversial claims even glorified Reed’s move to LIV and highlighted PGA Tour‘s inadequacy in providing security for the player and his family against hostile fan attacks.

Dan Rapaport could not hold back his frustration and tweeted, “Patrick Reed and his batshit lawyer are suing my good friend (and others) for $250 million, and it’s a big fat load of BS.”

In a year that has been rather difficult for the LIV Golf, the storms they faced and the comebacks they made, this one seems like another boat rushing amidst the disturbed waters again. The claims of conspiracy and the conjectures are manifold, only to unravel in the coming days.
