PGA Tour gives Japanese Golfers one last chance before banning them after playing the LIV Golf Series

Japanese Golfers that played at the LIV Series
The controversy since the inception of the LIV Series has just kept increasing. The PGA Tour has taken a head on battle with the Saudi backed series, and is imposing sanctions and suspensions on any golfers that dare to make the switch. The likes of Patrick Reed, Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau have already seen the consequences of choosing to switch to the new Series.
After the recent defection of 6 golfers, including big names like Cameron Smith, Harold Varner III and Joaquín Niemann, the strength of the LIV field has increased drastically. Now, 26 of the world’s top 100 golfers will be on the field for the fourth event at Boston. As the threat to the PGA Tour increases, they have decided to take further actions and drastic measures.
The PGA Tour has given a notice to the organisers of the Japan Golf Tour that any of the golfers that have competed in the LIV Events or will be competing in the upcoming LIV Events will be barred from the PGA Tour- including the Zozo Championship and the Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying Tournament.
The PGA Tour will hold the Zozo Championship outside of Tokyo- without Japanese golfers

This explains why the Japanese golf players who competed in New Jersey will not be seen on the course in Boston. Yuki Inamori, Ryosuke Kinoshita, Jinichiro Kozuma and Hideto Tanihara had played at Trump Bedminster and had formed an all Japanese team. The Zozo Championship is co-sanctioned by the JGTO and is an official event on the PGA Tour schedule.
Any participants who have competed till now in any LIV Events will “remain ineligible for all events across all PGA Tour sanctioned tours through the end of the calendar year, including the Zozo Championship.’’ World no. 90 Inamori, World no. 119 Kinoshita and World no. 134 Kozuma all competed in the Zozo Championship last year.
