“I don’t condone human rights violations”: Phil Mickelson’ press conference garners want for truth about LIV Golf series

The recent announcement of the LIV Golf Series has got caught up in quite the stir of controversy, as the Saudi backed golf series has attracted the attention of many. Among these golfers include Phil Mickelson, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson and Kevin Na to name a few.

The PGA Tour has threatened disciplinary action for any golfer who changes to the LIV Series. Phil Mickelson recently did a press conference after a self imposed hiatus for four months. He was criticised severely for many of his comments and the money that he took to make the switch to the LIV Series. Mickelson was said to be calculative and very careful about what he said.

Mickelson was questioned about his comments, and the change in heart that he had especially in the matters of human rights violations. The recent press conference however sparked quite the reactions from the crowd as well, with varying opinions.

Several people actually came to the defence of Phil Mickelson after the awkward press conference was aired. They felt that the press was being extremely demanding of him.

However, several others were still unhappy about the amount of money he was taking in order to play in the series.

Mickelson has reportedly been given $200 million to play at the series. The LIV Golf series, expected to start soon will definitely be causing some drama in the process.
