The forthcoming Grant Thornton Invitational will mark the beginning of a new relationship for renowned golfer Rickie Fowler. Originally intended to collaborate with Jessica Korda, a change in circumstances added Lexi Thompson to the picture. This change was necessary as a result of Korda’s resignation from the event after the news of her pregnancy.

The mixed-team competition, which will take place from December 8–10 at the Tiburon Golf Club in Naples, already featured Fowler and Korda as participants. Though it was natural and inevitable for her to withdraw, Korda’s due date was February.
