“Overrated B***s***!,” Rory McIlroy’ GUTSY determination fails to win over fans at Tour Championship
Despite his back injury, Rory Mcilory has continued to play along the Tour Championship, a move which has not impressed the fans.

As the Tour Championship inches closer to its moving day, there is one player who is having trouble while moving around the course. Former World No. 1 Rory McIlroy is having a difficult time at the East Lake. He is reported to be suffering from back issues and was spotted in discomfort at round one of the event. He has now explained the dire situation he is in right now.
McIlroy fired an even-par score on Thursday but followed it up with an improved performance in round two. The North Irishman though is still feeling the effects of the pain which is making it difficult for him to swing. After the conclusion of the second round, he would speak to the press and express how is he playing through the pain barrier.
“Yeah, I can’t hit the ball left to right and I can’t swing my irons the way I want to,” McIlroy said at the start of his statement. The recent Scottish Open winner added that he can only hit one way with the irons. “A little limited to the shots that I can hit, but I’m getting by,” he further added.

Rory McIlroy is one of the most renowned golfers in the world. The 34-year-old has amazed fans with his never-say-die attitude and style of play. Despite missing out on several championships, Mcilory has continued to fight along without taking a break. He is now playing at the Tour Championship with severe back issues.
There are some people now who are unimpressed with his actions though. While Mcilory could easily withdraw from the event to prevent further damage, he has opted to fight. While McIlroy has made his choice, the fans have given their verdict. The golfer is currently seventh in the Tour Championship standings after firing a score of 3-under 67 in round two. This has taken him to the seventh position in the standings while being 10-under, six shots behind the co-leaders Collin Morikawa and Viktor Hovland.
How will McIlroy overcome this huge obstacle and fight alone only he can answer that. This also raises questions regarding the Ryder Cup. He recently took a jab at the European LIV Golfers and claimed that they will be fine without the. Now his own contention is in jeopardy. His injury could play a major event at the prestigious event in September.
