As the sun sets down on another memorable year for the DP World Tour, Rory McIlroy once again emerged as the winner. The North Irishman has once again claimed the seasonal race title of Race to Dubai. He is now eyeing to continue this dominance while making a bold claim regarding his opponents.
The 34-year-old golfer claimed his fifth Race to Dubai title, finishing above Jon Rahm. His strong performances at the four major championships along with his victory at the Scottish Open helped him claim this crown.

He also enjoyed some near finishes in the PGA Tour events. However, McIlroy was unable to add to his major collection. Despite this, his consistent performances helped him finish the season with an impressive record. He has now claimed that he does not think that there are many people who can beat him.
"I think I've won eight season-long titles between America and between here, so it just shows my level of consistency. There's a few guys that are able to beat me sort of one week or the next week, but I don't think there's a lot of people that can beat me throughout the entire season".Rory McIlroy as per The Mirror.
Rory McIlroy sets sights on fifth major title following impressive 2022-23 season
While he might have not added many titles to his resume this season, Rory McIlroy had another impressive season. Two Rolex Titles with three top-seven finishes in majors along with the Ryder Cup triumph brought an end to an incredible year. He though has now set his sights for his fifth major next season.
Over the years gone by, the North Irishman has come up short on several occasions. His failures at the recent major championship have subjected him to a lot of criticism from fans and experts. He now wants to show off to the world that he still has it. McIlroy also claimed this as one of the reasons for leaving the post of player-director at the PGA Tour policy board.

"It's been another really solid year... I've played really good golf, really consistent. Hopefully, more of the same going into next year".
For the time being, McIlroy turns his attention to the TGL league. As the newly established league co-owned by him and Tiger Woods suffered roof damage, the tournament is likely to be delayed. With him not participating in the Hero World Challenge, the four-time major champion has some time off to prepare for majors next season.
