As the PGA Tour and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) continue to work on finalizing the merger, a shocking development took place on Wednesday. 4-time major champion Rory McIlroy did a stunning reversal and conceded he was “little judgemental” of players joining LIV Golf.

The 34-year-old had previously been a huge critic of LIV Golf. He furiously slammed some of the big names including his friend Sergio Garcia who jumped ships to sail with LIV Golf. He though has now come back to this point and claims he feels it was “a bit of a mistake” on his part.

In the recent episode of the Stick to Football podcast of The Overlay, the North Irishman mentioned he had spent the last two years looking at the picture in front of him.

Jena Sims takes sarcastic jibe at Rory McIlroy following his recent comments

The world of golf received another major shock on Wednesday when Rory McIlroy revealed his new stance on LIV Golf. The fans on social media were left stunned by the Former World No. 1 when he said some positive things about the Saudi-funded tour. As the world shared their reaction to this massive development, Jena Sims jumped in to have some fun.

The actress-model is one of the popular figures in the golfing world. This is much due to the fact of her being the wife of LIV Golfer Brooks Koepka. The couple recently grabbed headlines when they celebrated New Year through a raunchy dance which left several debating whether it was appropriate or not. While discussion regarding that continues, Sims now appears to have taken a sarcastic jibe at McIlroy.

She would take to her Instagram stories to share a simple four-word message in her response to his interview. In her message she wrote, “New Year, New Rory,” implying that McIlroy might have changed due to the turn of the year.

Meanwhile, her husband Koepka seemed to have taken a different approach. The five-time major champion shared a cryptic message along the way. He would take to his X account and shared a GIF of Kermit The Frog drinking tea. Fans have interpreted that the American golfer was not surprised by this sudden change of McIlroy.

The words of McIlroy underscore the concept of the evolving nature of golf. A huge defender of the PGA Tour against LIV Golf at one point, the current World No. 2 now seems to be tired of this fight and wants to just the sport without getting too much into politics.
