The recently inaugurated LIV Golf Series has caused quite the controversy in the golf world. As golfers have been making the switch from the PGA Tour, the tension between the two has been constantly increasing. Among these, several golfers- current and retired- have their opinions about how to deal with the split that they are currently facing.
Recently, a former world no1 golfer Brooks Koepka has also made the move to the LIV Golf series– a move that has left the world shocked. While several people have now agreed to disagree with the move saying that it is ultimately the choice of the golfer, Sir Nick Faldo was not impressed.

“The other very important thing is enjoyment. You’ve got to enjoy what you do in life. You can’t be standing on the golf course and thinking ‘I don’t know the reason why I’m out here.’ You just can’t fake that. It’s an important thing in life to know what you’re out there for, and you think ‘I love this. I really love it.’ And I cannot see how these guys right now think it’s a serious challenge,” said Faldo to awfulannouncing.com.
Faldo is essentially stating the reason that top players are leaving their relevant careers to be a part of the LIV Series. He feels like it is just a buy off of players, and not a competition based or respectful tour at all.
