The Saudi backed LIV Golf Series has caused quite the tension among the golf world, as several pro golfers leave the PGA Tour for a breakaway. As the golf world is in a split, the opinions of both sides seem to irk the other. The latest comment from Talor Gooch for example, has left golfers fuming, especially Justin Thomas.

During a post golf interview, Gooch went ahead and said, “I haven’t played a Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup, but I can’t imagine there’s a whole hell of a lot of difference. This was as cool as it gets. We’ve been saying it all week. The energy is just different, it is awesome.”

Talor Gooch’s comments left much of the golf world in shock, receiving criticism from a lot of people, including Twitter. Justin Thomas in particular was quite disappointed with the comments, and he himself had something to say. He even commented on an Instagram post, quipping “I’ve seen some funny stuff online, but this is one of the better ones.”

For them to say that is all for the betterment of the game and for them — I just, to be perfectly honest, I just wish one of them would have the balls to say I’m doing this for the money. Like, I personally would gain a lot more respect for that,” said Thomas on a recent podcast of No Laying Up according to Sporting News.
