Is the end near for Tiger Woods?

Tiger Woods has dominated the sport of golf for a long time. He is tied with Sam Sneed for the most PGA Tour wins, is currently second in the number of majors, and is one of the few to achieve a career grand slam. All these accomplishments make him not just one of the golf greats but one of the greatest athletes of this generation. However, questions regarding his future and retirement have surfaced and with the recent struggles, fans are worrying that this could be it.

Woods has no doubt been struggling. After this surgery, he himself claimed that he will not be playing too much. The effects of his injury have been seen in his golf swings. Whether he will hang up his golf clubs and call it a day on his legendary career remains to be seen, however, recent developments indicate that he might not be done with the sport.

The 5-time Masters champion is said to take part with Rory Mcilory in the TGL, kicking off in 2024. The indoor-golf tournaments will see six teams playing against each other. He is also stated to captain one of the teams, so an end to his playing career seems far away. Another major development regarding him has been his inclusion as the sixth player director.

On August 1, the PGA Tour announced Woods as the newest member of their policy board member. The veteran who had decided to keep his mouth shut in connection with the merger, claimed he was honored to represent the players on the board. All this has given the fans encouragement that the golf great could still make a comeback on the biggest stage.
