In recent years Woods has stopped using their shoes and uses TaylorMade‘s golfing equipment. Following his car crash in 2021, the 15-time major champion switched to shoes from FootJoy. Since then he has been wearing them. This has led to speculations on whether Woods is now officially done with Nike.

Evolution of Tiger Woods and Nike’s partnership over the last 27 years

There is no denying the fact that Tiger Woods and Nike are both top names in the sporting industry. While Woods has dominated the golf circuit and become one of the greatest to ever play the game, Nike has evolved from time to time and is one of the leading sports brands in the world.

According to internet personality Joe Pompliano, Nike has so far paid over $500 million to Woods in the last 27 years. In return, the sales of the company had also skyrocketed since Woods joined them.

As per Pompliano, Nike Golf had a revenue of around $30 million per year in 1995. Two years after they signed along with Woods, the annual revenue increased up to $300 million in 1998. This showcases the impact Woods has had over Nike since.

Despite the struggles, injuries, and personal life issues of Woods, Nike has stood beside him. However, one major reason behind the ending of this partnership could be that Nike has stopped making golf equipment since 2016, leading Woods to explore different options.

This leads to a major question of who could become his official partner following this. The name of Greyson Clothiers has surfaced after reports emerged that they are ready to partner with his son, Charlie Woods. This could allow the 82-time PGA Tour winner to shake hands with them or he can just go solo.

Fans are now glued to their screens, waiting for any official announcement from Woods and Nike. Every story has an ending and perhaps the legendary tale of Tiger Woods and Nike is heading in that direction.
