The signature event of the PGA Tour, AT&T ProAm started this week. The former American football quarterback Tom Brady who has played somewhere around 23 seasons of NFL, was seen in action earlier today at the AT&T Pebble Beach ProAm 2024, alongside golf pro Keegan Bradley.
This year’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be featuring some big names. In addition to these names, the event also had Pau Gasol and Aaron Rodgers in action.
Rodgers will be teaming with Beau Hossler while the Argentine professional golfer Emiliano Grillo will join Gasol. Meanwhile, Josh Allen is playing alongside Keith Mitchell The two didn’t have their best of the day, as they finished three under (tied for 51st) after Round 1.
But all eyes are on the pairing of Brady and Bradley, as the duo sits six-under (tied for 18th) on the pro-am scoreboard. Interestingly, Chris Kempczinski is going to be there. He will be coming out on the field with none other than Jordan Spieth.
The 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am
This year Crosby Clambake will see several changes as compared to the previous year’s tournament. Being in a major tournament means a massive $20 million purse and the first-place winner will bag $3.6 million in 2024, as per reports.
Several players like Collin Morikawa, Hideki Matsuyama, and Scottie Scheffler are making a mark at AT&T this week. This year with just 160 players in the tournament as opposed to 312, the event will not be happening at the MPCC’s shore course.
This time the weekend will only be for the pros; amateur players will only play Thursday and Friday. According to several reports, actor Bill Murray, a staple with antics on the course during the event, was not included this year.
Earlier, Tom Brady made a young girl’s day by signing her High School sweatshirt. The moment captured on camera cheered up the whole online community. The girl, Kalea, noted, “That was the craziest moment of my entire life.” Apparently, she also goes to the school in the same district as Brady.
The AT&T ProAm has always been an exciting event for the players and fans. This year too the event did not disappoint the fans as they got to see stories of heartwarming, competitive, and winning sides of the players who participated.
