Sky Sports reporter Jamie Weir is back in the limelight once again as he has come out in support of the controversial LIV Golf league. Earlier this year in June, the journalist had revealed how a LIV golf star told him to “go f***” himself after he asked a question.

However, the journalist did not reveal the golfer’s name but he shared the exchange on Twitter. On his Twitter wrote: “Odd how one of the players listed below when I asked him at The Open if he was at all concerned this could be his last major for a while, told me to “go f*** myself” and that it was a “fing s question”.”

Twitter used trolled Sky Sports’ journalist comments on LIV Golf

Well, the Sky Sports reporter on Thursday was of the view that LIV Golf is not bad for the sport and one should embrace the fact that the Saudi-backed league has made a tremendous impact in the world of golf.

He in a series of tweets applauded the entertainment factor that the rebel league has brought into the world of the serious sport. The journalist tweeted:

However, hardcore golfing fans who are not in favour of LIV Golf, trolled Jamie Weir big time. In a tweet that he posted, a hardcore golf fan went against him and completely disregarded his views.

However, there were many random followers who supported Jamie Weir’s views saying that he is not totally wrong and LIV Golf has surely made a huge impact in golf in much fewer time thanks to tons loads of money.

There has been a substantial increase in interest in the LIV Golf Series since it was first suggested. Traditionalists on the PGA Tour voiced their opposition to LIV, but others claimed politics played a role. Thousands have openly opposed the series because Saudi Arabia’s PIF supports it.
