“What would you ask for?” Twitter spells out its wishes as Jordan Spieth gives fan gifts for helping him make the cut at 2023 Players Championship
Jordan Spieth decided to give a fan whatever he wanted after the latter helped him make the cut at the 2023 Players Championship.

Jordan Spieth
Jordan Spieth has been in luck at the 2023 Players Championships. He started his week in rather dire condition. It saw him almost miss the cut after a disappointing first round. Spieth had only one goal in mind-to not miss the cut at the Championship Just as things were looking down, the most unexpected happened. It was a fan who came to the rescue, and in the most bizarre way.
Over the notorious course, Spieth was 5 over par in the round and very close to missing the cut. That was until, a fan saved him- literally. Just as Spieth hit the ball, it started travelling towards the water. Everyone thought that it was all over for him. If the ball landed anywhere that was not the green, it would be over for the golfer.
Just as Spieth was about to give up on the ball, it hit a fan. The ball then bounced off the leg of the fan and came on to the short grass. “Needing to probably birdie to make the cut, I can’t really birdie having to drop it over in the right rough over there and hitting my third,” Spieth said. “It would have been a one-in-a-million make.”
From a round of golf at Augusta to a new set of clubs, Twitter makes Jordan Spieth wish list

Spieth managed to make an eagle on the last hole, and the fan is the only reason he is still in play at the Championship. “I got an extremely lucky break on 9 or I wouldn’t be playing the weekend,” said Spieth. “Trying to get that guy’s information and see literally whatever he wants this weekend. Because everything from here on out is because it hit him.”
Spieth was on a hunt to find the fan who literally saved him from getting cut out of the game. Speaking at the end of the day he said that he would find the fan and give him anything he wanted. To this Twitterati began their own wishlist about what they would get if they were fans- and responses were pretty hilarious.
Jordan Spieth did end up finding the fan, and he had a surprise to give him. The fan was a 23-year-old Marine, Matt from Colorado Springs. Matt received free tickets for the rest of the weekend, and also a flag signed by Spieth. Quite the day for Matt and Spieth!
