Reality met fiction recently as the craziness of Happy Gilmore seems to be more and more intertwined with the real life PGA Tour recently. Just days ahead of the 2022 Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, the legendary Tiger Woods met another legend ‘Shooter McGavin’ from the Happy Gilmore series.

McGavin, the villainous and now infamous character is played by actor Christopher McDonald in the comedy serial. The fictional character of McGavin has more than 470,000 followers captioned the title of the meet perfectly. McGavin and Woods came together to take a selfie, as the golf world and the sitcom world seemed to enjoy a happy meeting between the two.

The meet between Woods and McGavin was recorded as both took a selfie together, and it went viral on Twitter. “When the GOAT met Tiger Woods,” said the caption of McGavin. Woods has recently been in the limelight after becoming the face of the PGA Tour especially as the LIV Golf series drama takes a turn for the worse.
