“Can’t win on the PGA, so chasing the bag”: Phil Mickelson leaves Twitterati in disappointment with LIV Golf Series statement

The recent announcement of the LIV Golf Series has got caught up in quite the stir of controversy, as the Saudi backed golf series has attracted the attention of many. Among these golfers include Phil Mickelson, Ian Poulter, Dustin Johnson and Kevin Na to name a few.
Phil Mickelson in his recent Twitter post has put out a statement that talked about opening up a new chapter in his life with the LIV Series. Mickelson said that the progressive format of the series will also be exciting for the fans, while also providing balance to the golfers to help them lead healthy lives. “I am incredibly grateful for what this game and the PGA Tour has given me. I would like to think that I have given back as well but now I am excited about this new opportunity.”
Twitterati was however, not convinced with the statement, as several people thought this to be a cover up for the amount of money he is receiving for attending the series.

“I am thrilled to begin with LIV Golf and I appreciate everyone involved. I also intend to play the majors. I fully realise and respect some may disagree with this decision and have strong opinions and I empathise with that,” said Mickelson. He concluded with gratefulness for all his fans and supporters as he takes on this new journey.
Needless to say much of the Twitterati was not impressed with his statement, as several individuals called him out for accepting large amounts of money to play the LIV Golf Series.
Fans and others alike are not happy that Mickelson is making the shift to the controversial Saudi backed LIV Golf Series.
