“I am proud of myself”: Tiger Woods battles for 19th place at the Masters

Tiger Woods has recently made the headlines as her makes his iconic comeback at the Masters at Augusta National Park. Woods is playing his first major after over a year, stopping when he suffered from a serious accident.

Making his comeback, it would definitely not be easy for Woods to keep up with the frontrunners. The end of the first day saw Im Sung-Jae lead the pack with a five under par to end at a score of 67. Woods sat in tenth place, with a score of 71. The second day saw Woods get off to a poor start, as Scottie Scheffler took the lead in the Masters.

The end of day 2 saw Woods sit one over par at a score of 145. Sitting 9 points behind Scheffler, it is not a bad outing for the 46-year-old, especially coming back from an injury. “I’m proud of the fact that my whole support team got me into this position. We worked hard to get me into this position,” said Woods to TOI.

Woods had a couple of bad gusts and made a couple of bad swings on top of that. He said that he doesn’t feel as good as he’d like to feel. For him, he knew that it would be no easy task, and hitting shot shapes off of uneven lies just added to his challenge.
