WATCH: Joel Dahmen mistaken for a fan by shuttle driver, PGA Tour pro plays along in hilarious video

Joel Dahmen has a chat with the driver
On his way to the 2022 Tournament of Champions, PGA Tour pro Joel Dahmen encountered a very funny incident. Dahmen’s shuttle driver in Hawaii mistook him for a fan and dished out some fine advice about getting close to the action at the Plantation Course at Kapalua.
Dahmen’s caddie, Geno Bonnalie, recorded 21 seconds of the hilarious interaction and took to social media to share it. “Before the end of the tournament, move from where you are to the grandstand, get yourself a seat,” the driver was heard saying. Dahmen could be seen playing along adding to the humour.
Viral video draws response from the driver, Dale wishes Joel Dahmen luck

As the video drew the attention of netizens, it eventually reached the shuttle driver Dale Guttman. Dale seemed offended by it as he lashed out at Geno for sharing it. “Worked a 14 hour day on a Volunteer basis driving the shuttle,” he wrote. “Really don’t appreciate a man who handles another man’s bag and cleans his balls mocking me though.”
Geno was quick to reply as he clarified his intentions behind sharing the video. “Hi Dale, first off, I mean this sincerely…thank you for volunteering,” Joel’s caddy Bonnalie wrote. “I posted that video because: 1. It was funny, & 2. This kind of thing happens all the time. I’m not making fun of you or anyone who makes this mistake at all. It was an honest mistake that was funny.”
Dale eventually came around with the joke as he admitted that he is not a very big fan of the sport. The shuttle driver then went on to wish Joel Dahmen luck for the tournament. Joel sealed his ticket to the Tournament of Champions with a win at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.
Joel Dahmen finished tied at the eighth position at the end of the first round as he shot a bogey-free 68. Cameron Smith topped the list with a one-shot lead. Dahmen has some catching to do if he aims to finish strong in his first-ever appearance in the prestigious tournament.
