“Got back from war” – Nikola Jokic leaving with blood stains all over jersey has fans worried
The Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic went viral for having blood all over his jersey in the game against the Mavericks.
Nikola Jokic's jersey was soaked in blood
Being the best player in the world is certainly not easy. Ever since his return from illness, Nikola Jokic has not been able to catch a break. In his first game back, despite scoring a triple-double, the Denver Nuggets center revealed he ‘almost died’ during the game. Now, in the very next game, the star’s appearance was bloody.
As his health is improving, Nikola Jokic gave his all against the Dallas Mavericks. Jokic recorded a double-double in the win, but the star went viral for a rather unfortunate reason. Fans on social media noticed that Jokic’s jersey was covered in blood at various spots. It seems that the three-time champion was subjected to numerous scratches by his Mavs defenders.
Fans’ shocked reaction was only natural, but this is not new for Jokic. The 3-time MVP has often been spotted with multiple scratches and bruises during games. The reason behind it could simply be the Joker’s sheer dominance in the game.
This is insane.

Last year, Nuggets teammate DeAndre Jordan stated that Jokic ‘gets fouled a ton’ while talking about his scratches. Considering the star’s scoring ability, to slow down the Serbian his defendants may have to use more of an aggressive method.
Fans were shocked to see the blood on Nikola Jokic’s jersey
Along with Luka Doncic, Jokic is one of the few players to get scratched in almost every game. The joker himself is aware of that as he admitted that scratches are mostly ‘random’. The former champion even joked about it in 2019 as he hilariously stated that he ‘leads the league in scratches’.
Despite the saga going on for years, fans were taken aback after seeing Jokic’s bloody jersey. The post on X quickly went viral and fans flooded the site with their reactions. Fans were both worried and upset by Jokic’s treatment. Check out some of the reactions below.

It’ s like this every game regardless who he plays. And, maybe they should have a league rule that a player’s nails should be trimmed to avoid this crap!

A glance at the box scores from the game helps to explain Nikola’s scars. While scoring 19 points, Jokic was in charge of grabbing the ball from the opponent team as he had 18 rebounds. The Serbian was also just one assist away from a back-to-back triple-double.
