The recent disappearance of Bryson Muir, the son of former NFL defensive lineman Daniel Muir has shocked the nation. The 14-year-old boy was put on Silver Alert in Indiana and authorities are concerned that he is in grave danger. The Indiana State Police launched an investigation into alleged domestic battery and his father Daniel Muir is a person of interest in the matter.

In light of this situation, Bryson’s grandmother Cheryl Wright, the woman who tipped the law enforcement authorities about the possible abuse, spoke to FOX 59 and revealed that the kid was subjected to abuse and that his father had a key part to play in this.

She further suspected that he had been “brainwashed” into living on a religious compound in Logansport. Wright last saw the boy on the 16th of June with his mother, Kristen Muir.

His face was battered. When I got him he had a black eye and busted lip. His whole face was swollen. I can only imagine how many times he had been hit in the face for it to be like that.
Cheryl Wright said

It is extremely concerning to hear that the 14-year-old boy’s life is in danger and there is practically no knowledge about his whereabouts.

Despite the Cass County Sheriff’s Department and Cass County Department of Child Services’ best efforts, Bryson continues to be missing. His parents are cooperating with the investigation, however, authorities have good reason to believe that he is “in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.” A disturbing image of him showed him with a swollen right eye, as though he had been punched badly.

Cheryl Wright elaborated upon her suspicion of her grandson being brainwashed,

Bryson is so conditioned or brainwashed to their way of living that he wanted to go back. As I tried to get my daughter to leave, he ran out of the house and left with them.
Cheryl Wright said

The Muirs initially agreed to bring Bryson to meet with the investigators of Indiana State Police at noon ET on Friday, however, they ended up backing out an hour before the meeting was to take place.

The grandmother remains concerned that the Muir family’s involvement with the Servant Leader Foundation, a non-profit religious group that is based out of Logansport has something to do with the abuse and disappearance of Bryson. Daniel Muir, the father of Bryson played for seven seasons in the NFL, he spent a year each with the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Oakland Raiders, and played for four seasons with the Indianapolis Colts.
