This week’s SmackDown had a very special guest in attendance. Omaha’s very own Terence Crawford was given a front-row seat for the night. He even assisted Cody Rhodes by handing him over a steel chair to even the odds against Grayson Waller and Austin Theory, who launched a 2-on-1 assault on the Undisputed WWE Champion. Through Crawford’s timely intervention, Rhodes turned the tide on A-Town Down Under.

However, Grayson Waller has now issued a warning to the professional boxer. Taking it to X, the Sydney-born wrestler said he’s starting to get bored of these athletes thinking that they belong to the pro wrestling biz. In a vehement follow-up, Waller asked Crawford to never step back into a WWE arena or else he’d slap some sense into the Bud. One could tell that the Aussie Icon is ticked off after a disastrous outing on SmackDown last Friday.

Waller and Theory further lost to Cody and a partner he had to finalize by the end of the show. A returning Kevin Owens filled that void and staged an impressive coup over the boorish former WWE Tag Team Champions. It’s been quite the hoodoo for A-Town Down Under these past few weeks. Just a night before Money in the Bank, they lost their tag team gold to DIY‘s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Starting to get bored of these ‘athletes’ pretending they belong in our world. Just a heads up @terencecrawford- if you ever step foot in a WWE arena again, I will be there to slap some sense into you

Last week, the two teams locked horns in a rematch, but Grayson and Austin couldn’t get the job done. They’ve had a rollercoaster of a year. From not even being in contention as a formidable duo to winning the doubles silverware at WrestleMania XL, the A-Town Down Under has experienced a windfall better than its contemporaries.

What to expect from SmackDown next week?

Next week’s SmackDown has already been taped. Owing to a three-event tour to Japan slated for July 25, 26, and 27, the WWE Superstars will be in action over there. However, there’s already some leaks floating around regarding the upcoming blue brand taping.

First and foremost, The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa will earn the right to compete for the WWE Tag Team titles. LA Knight had a breezy sail over Santos Escobar. Their matchup came about last week when The Megastar hurled a personal remark over the LDF boss.

An in-ring promo was also listed between reigning Women’s Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn and Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill. Last but not least, Bayley will join forces with Michin to battle Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton.
