The latest episode of Raw featured a backstage segment where Jey Uso ran into A-Town Down Under. They berated him for being nothing more than a meme and said that he only cared about himself. Grayson Waller went on about how Uso was not on Gunther‘s level and would lose at WrestleMania. The Samoan said that everyone was doubting him. However, he was fine with it because he knew he was going to win.

After this statement, Uso did a Yeet pose, and Austin Theory joined him but then saw the look on his partner’s face. Grayson Waller started yelling at his teammate before being laid out by a superkick from the former Intercontinental Champion. The Australian later posted a photo of himself on X, where he can be seen soothing the wound with a cold drink.

Waller has become infamous for whining on social media about incidents that happen to him on WWE programming. A few months ago, an episode of his talk show was interrupted by Braun Strowman, who came out dressed in a Santa Claus outfit. The Australian made several posts about how his set was destroyed. He even posted a photo of the Monster Among Men sitting on the toilet.

I’m sick of this walking meme attacking me unprovoked. I don’t appreciate a bully in the workplace. My attorney will be in touch.

This was also not the only time Uso was seen during the latest episode of Raw. During the show, Gunther defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Akira Tozawa. He brutalized the challenger with a powerbomb and then locked in Gojira Clutch until he won by referee stoppage. Even after the match ended, the Ring General continued to attack the Alpha Academy members. The 2025 Royal Rumble winner had to rush down to the ring to make the save.

Gunther says that he does not want to wrestle Jey Uso at WrestleMania

Although many fans were initially not on board with Gunther going up against Jey Uso, WWE has slowly started to create some hype for this match. However, it appears that the champion himself is not too interested in the bout. Speaking with DailyMail, the World Heavyweight Champion said that he does not want to fight the 10x Tag Team Champion at WrestleMania.

Rather, Gunther wanted to go up against one of the few guys on the roster who he still considers a step ahead of him. He wanted to dance with them at the Showcase of the Immortals, bring them down an inch, and continue to raise his stock in the company. He said that the Royal Rumble was packed like it had never been before. Therefore, it was highly shocking to see Uso come out on top as the underdog.

I’m not interested in wrestling Jey at WrestleMania. I was looking for somebody who is one of the last few remaining guys on the roster that I would say are maybe one step ahead of me.

Gunther also compared Jey Uso and his Yeet chants to Daniel Bryan and the ‘Yes’ movement. He said that the Samoan had such a large number of supporters behind him. The promotion was bound to do something with it. He liked to see such things happen to the underdog. However, he wanted to be completely left out of it as well.
