Greg Olsen remains disappointed by Tom Brady snatching his FOX job: “I don’t have any ill will”
Greg Olsen's season ended early as he was excluded from Super Bowl LIX coverage by FOX in favor of Tom Brady.

Greg Olsen has no resentment toward Tom Brady but was disappointed when the former quarterback replaced him as the lead voice for FOX Sports alongside Kevin Burkhardt. This doesn’t mark the end of the 39-year-old’s career in the slightest. He is dead set on calling Super Bowls in the future—whether it’s with FOX or other networks.
Fans became used to hearing the former Carolina Panthers TE on TV during big prime-time games ever since he hung up his boots in 2020. However, by the time 2023 rolled in, he was displaced by 7x Super Bowl winner Tom Brady.
Brady signed a mammoth 10-year contract with FOX. The network made a business decision to make the 47-year-old their face in football. Naturally, he bagged all the big games on paper which historically have generated massive viewership. The NFC Championship game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Washington Commanders is a good example. According to Sports Media Watch, 44.2 million people tuned in to watch Saquon Barkley run rings around the Washington Commanders’ defense.
Olsen’s season was already over, and if his recent interview with The Athletic is any indication, maybe his affiliation with FOX as well.
Greg Olsen doesn’t resent Tom Brady
It was easy for Olsen to be swayed with resentment toward the man who replaced him. He doesn’t, though, and still enjoys a stable relationship and friendship with Brady, Burkhart, and Erin Andrews.

Olsen’s statement came after FOX released the lineup of the announcers for Super Bowl LIX. Brady, Burkhardt, and Andrews will be at the Super Dome in New Orleans to cover the Chiefs taking on NFC Champions the Philadelphia Eagles.

The last time these two teams played each other was in the 2022 Super Bowl (2023). Olsen was in the FOX booth that day and covered the game with Burkhardt.
