Emma Raducanu recently withdrew from the mixed doubles at Wimbledon. She was supposed to partner Andy Murray but pulled out citing a stiff wrist.
Fans were looking forward to their match as Murray, playing for the final time in his home Major, had decided not to take part in the singles and lost in the men’s doubles in the first round. Unfortunately, they could not watch their home hero in action one last time, with Raducanu’s withdrawal essentially ending his time in Wimbledon.
Murray’s mother Judy Murray was rather annoyed with this decision from Raducanu and dropped a sarcastic comment under a post that confirmed the withdrawal. “Yes Astonishing” posted Jusy, which started the array of comments on social media.
Fans picked up on this and started their trolls for Raducanu, with many making their thoughts known on social media. However, there were some who sympathized with her and defended her decision, with former British star Greg Rusedski being one of them.
More than understandable, Emma Raducanu has pulled out of the mixed doubles . No need to take a risk with the wrist.

In the singles, Raducanu has reached the fourth round and has pulled out of the mixed doubles to give her wrist time to recover rather than aggravate the injury. She is set to take on Lulu Sun for a place in the quarterfinals on Sunday (July 7).
Emma Raducanu hinted at a scheduling issue before her withdrawal due to stiffness
Briton Emma Raducanu has had a successful time at Wimbledon so far. She has returned from injury this year and found some form in her home Slam. However, just as she finished her third-round singles match, the Brit was irked by the scheduling change regarding her mixed doubles match.
Raducanu was set to play alongside Andy Murray on Court 1. However, last-minute changes and her match clashing with England’s 2024 Euros soccer match did not please the youngster.
They now had to play a little earlier, and Raducanu was rather unhappy with this decision. “The scheduling of that was not ideal. I mean, it’s just an amazing opportunity to be able to play with him. It’s something that I’m going to cherish.
Emma Raducanu said at a press conference
She said that she was not consulted before a decision was made to change the timing of the match. However, her decision to pull out of the mixed doubles has spared her the ordeal of taking to the court on three days back-to-back.
