Grigor Dimitrov picks his best Masters 1000s matches

Grigor Dimitrov has been a top player on tour for more than a decade now. He has been a consistent performer has been in the top 20 for some time now. He is now in Monte Carlo, to play the second Masters 1000 event of the season.
He is scheduled to play Jan- Lennard Struff of Germany in the opening round where he is seeded 14th. He last played at the Miami Masters where he had a poor outing, bowing out in his first match.
Recently, in an interview, he admitted that the one Masters 1000 title he badly wants to win is Monte Carlo. He said: “Monte-Carlo is one at the top of my list.”
“There is such a history behind that tournament. It is not an easy tournament to win. Throughout the years, Rafa has been the guy that has been winning it the most, but it also shows how tough the competition is out there.”

Having played some magnificent Masters 1000 matches himself, Dimitrov was asked to pick his favorite Masters 1000 match ahead of Monte Carlo 2021.
He said: “I remember Dominic and Roger played an insane match in [the 2019] Indian Wells [final]. Same thing with Roger and Del Potro [in the 2018 final]. Amazing matches.”
“Rafa and Roger in Miami was pretty amazing to watch, when Roger beat Rafa 6-3, 6-4. Lights out. Not much to say. I even remember Rafa after the match saying, ‘There is not much to say.’ It is funny to see players like that not only admitting, but I like their ability to see the reality.”
Grigor Dimitrov goes in as the favorite to win the opening round clash against against Struff.
