GTA 5’s Franklin Actor Shares Image Seemingly Teasing New Content
The Expanded and Enhanced edition of GTA 5 is still set to arrive in March, despite the fact that little has been announced about it. Fans are hungry for any proof of the upgrade’s upgrades and adjustments, and now a new post from protagonist Franklin’s actor, Shawn Fonteno, has fans wondering if he’s seen the future.
Franklin has recently returned to Grand Theft Auto Online as part of The Contract DLC. Set several years after the events of GTA 5, The Contract demonstrates how far Franklin has progressed from his early days to now heading an agency that assists the rich and famous with their troubles.

Franklin, in particular, has aged a little bit in the GTA Online DLC. Fans have been interested by this, as evidenced by a new post from Franklin’s actor. Actor Shawn Fonteno shared an image of what appears to be a new or updated Franklin model on his Instagram account. Franklin appears to be young in the image, leading some to speculate that either additional storey
DLC is on the way, possibly centred on Franklin and Lamar’s background, or that this is the model that will be used in GTA Expanded and Enhanced version. Unfortunately, Fonteno’s only comment on it is that it’s “almost finished,” which only adds to the intrigue and excitement among fans.
There’s also a slight chance that this model has something to do with Grand Theft Auto 6. That release is still on the way, however Rockstar Games hasn’t stated specifically that it is in the works. Although it may seem strange for Rockstar to break the ice by allowing set assets to be shared in this fashion.
It might also act as viral marketing to help raise interest and excitement ahead of an official announcement. This appears to be the least likely possibility unless GTA 6 is either directly tied to storey or serves as a sort of prologue.
Unfortunately, there haven’t been many other teases about the enhanced GTA 5 next-gen edition. Since the trailer debuted months ago, Rockstar Games has been rather silent about the game, prompting some to fear that it may be delayed beyond its original March release date.
However, given the recent failure of the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, many fans will likely be ready to wait for GTA 5 to receive the complete polish it deserves.
