Logan Paul has recently spoken about personalities in the wrestling industry. When he first joined WWE, no one expected him to become a part-time wrestler. However, he proved everyone wrong by earning the respect of many peers through his dedication and improved in-ring skills. Despite this, The Maverick has faced heavy criticism for being an “outsider” in WWE. Gunther also shared his thoughts on the criticism Paul has received from the WWE Universe.

While speaking with Ariel Helwani on his podcast, he was asked about Logan Paul and his journey as a WWE wrestler. The World Heavyweight Champion had no issues with him and even admitted that Paul was a great addition to WWE. The Ring General praised his athleticism and noted that he picked up wrestling mannerisms very quickly.

Gunther addressed the ongoing debate and showed support for Paul as an outsider. He added that The Maverick didn’t need to be the best wrestler in the world to earn recognition. The Imperium leader acknowledged that while there are some mixed feelings about outsiders, no one would turn down the perks of the lavish lifestyle that comes with being a WWE Superstar.

I think [Logan Paul] is a great addition for us. He’s a crazy athlete and he picked it up really quick. I don’t think his aspirations are to be the best wrestler in the world and he doesn’t need to. I get there’s some sentiment towards the outsiders, but if you get offered that private jet and private locker room, none of you would turn it down. Come on guys.

Fans praised Gunther for his honesty and showed appreciation for Paul, who is now being accepted as a legitimate WWE wrestler. Both stars are currently involved in high-stakes feuds—Paul is set to face veteran AJ Styles, while The Ring General will defend his title against Jey Uso. Needless to say, the WWE Universe will be watching both matches closely at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Gunther talked about the buildup of his rivalry against Jey Uso for their WrestleMania match

The long-term rivalry between Gunther and Jey Uso has finally picked up the pace two weeks ahead of WrestleMania. Jey’s brother, Jimmy Uso, got involved and slapped the 37-year-old champion right across his face. This turned out to be a big mistake, as the Austrian wrestler beat him to a pulp in front of his helpless brother.

While speaking on the podcast, the World Heavyweight Champion was asked if he was satisfied with the buildup of his rivalry with Jey. He responded that the buildup had been fantastic over the past few weeks. Gunther acknowledged that maintaining fan interest for 10 weeks was challenging, but he felt he had done an impressive job.

The Yeet Master won the 2025 Royal Rumble earlier this year by eliminating John Cena. He chose to face the man he had failed to defeat multiple times before — Gunther. The 37-year-old champion believed Jey wasn’t on his level and should stop chasing his dream of winning the world title. A furious Jey appeared on the latest episode of Raw and vowed to destroy Gunther and take the title from him.

Gunther gave his honest opinion on not being in the main event of WrestleMania 41

To be in the main event of WrestleMania means a lot to any wrestler. CM Punk waited for years to finally compete in the main event of the Showcase of the Immortals. Despite being one of the top champions in the company, Gunther’s match against Jey is not scheduled as the main event. The Ring General shared his thoughts on being left out of WrestleMania’s main event.

In his conversation with Helwani, Gunther was asked if he was disappointed about not being in the main event of WrestleMania. The Ring General said he wasn’t sad at all, as it wasn’t an achievement he was too concerned about. His main focus was to finish his career on a high note and be financially secure enough to support his family.

No, I’m not. there’s two main event spots, but people argue there’s only one… that’s the night two. At the end of the day, they’re like big achievements but that’s not the thing I want to stress about because in the long term, later on when I finish my career, and I know I was able to be financially set up took care of my family.

This year, Cody Rhodes and Cena will main event Night 1 of WrestleMania. On Night 2, Punk, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins will face off in a grudge-filled triple threat match at the Showcase of the Immortals. Paul Heyman is deeply involved in the feud, as all three men want The Wiseman in their corner.
