Less than three weeks away from their SummerSlam clash, Damian Priest and Gunther met face-to-face on Raw. With both men establishing why they needed to win, things took an ugly turn. Priest stated that, unlike Gunther, he worked his way to the top from the streets. Moreover, The Archer of Infamy pointed out how it had always been his dream to become a wrestler.
The World Heavyweight Champion promised that Gunther would be the last person he would lose his title to. In response, the King of the Ring berated his SummerSlam opponent. Although he didn’t question his street credibility, he opined that living on the streets was a “choice.” Targeting the WWE Universe, The Ring General couldn’t understand why they didn’t support Priest despite their similarities.

Gunther downplayed The Judgment Day member’s achievements by claiming that he would always be “street trash.” The former Intercontinental Champion has vowed to take on the responsibility of restoring credibility to the World Heavyweight title. Meanwhile, Damian Priest warned the #1 contender that he would repeat the same mistake he made at WrestleMania. The two men then came face-to-face before Braun Strowman‘s music hit.
Strowman, who has had issues with The Judgment Day, squared off against Priest. After a hard-hitting encounter, the champion emerged victorious with a South of Heaven chokeslam. Moments later, Gunther came out to the ring, and the pair engaged in a physical back-and-forth fight. At the end, Priest stood tall as the Austrian wrestler backed away. All in all, this segment added much-needed anticipation to the world title match at SummerSlam.
Gunther provides his honest opinion about the Wyatt Sicks faction
A month ago, The Wyatt Sicks introduced themselves on Raw. Since then, the faction’s leader, Uncle Howdy, aka Bo Dallas, has slowly disclosed the motives for their existence. Recently, Gunther voiced his opinion about the stable.

While speaking with Gorilla Position, The Ring General revealed that he wasn’t a fan of super-natural gimmicks in wrestling. However, he admitted that the WWE Universe found the Wyatt Sicks story captivating. Therefore, Gunther trusts the current management to find success with the faction.
In their latest move, Dallas spoke with Raw GM Adam Pearce on last week’s episode of Raw. Furthermore, Chad Gable has been frantic since their debut and has continuously reached out to his former Alpha Academy teammates for help. Nonetheless, only time will tell how the Wyatt Sicks’ story plays out in the coming weeks.
