If the past few weeks brought shame to Jey Uso, what transpired in front of his eyes this Monday may even radicalize him. On Raw, the 39-year-old’s older brother, Jimmy Uso, took it upon himself to prove that Gunther is indeed beatable. However, Big Jim was chopped to bits, slammed into barricades, and eventually put to sleep.

After making light work of the OG Bloodline member, Gunther tried to inflict more damage on Jimmy, but a Jey run-in averted the catastrophe. Just as The Yeet Master was escorting his brother to the back, they were blindsided by The Ring General. It was just the beginning of the end for The Usos. Gunther zip-tied his WrestleMania opponent to the middle rope.

Once Uso was handcuffed, the Imperium boss turned his attention to Jimmy and decked the latter with the World Heavyweight Championship to the skull. Consequently, Jim was left busted open. After exposing his blood-leaking face to Jey, the former Intercontinental Champion started writhing in agony. The scenes were uncomfortable as the world champ smeared himself with some color as well.

With hints of blood all over his body, The Ring General couldn’t have been more proud of himself. Even though Jimmy was virtually unconscious out there, the Austrian made him go through a powerbomb, followed by yet another sleeper hold. Jey was forced to watch the gory beatdown of his brother from inches away. However, there was nothing the once-infamous hothead could’ve done about it.

Jimmy Uso’s arrival was a shot in the arm for Jey Uso

Last week in Scotland, Jimmy Uso reunited with Jey Uso after a long time. The Usos were successful in fending off Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. The celebrated Anoa’i duo showed they hadn’t lost a step and why the two are often dubbed as one of the greatest tag teams of all time. After getting the job done, Jimmy talked some sense into his WrestleMania-bound brother.

Addressing the botched dive on Raw in Brussels, Jim said that it didn’t matter if Jey had been pulling it off effortlessly for the last fifteen years. A solitary instance of messing it up turned the ‘Right Hand Man’ into a joke, some might even say meme. The older of the Usos asserted that the self-doubting version of Jey would never beat the menace Gunther is.

Just then, Jimmy saw The Ring General walk by and decided to confront him. The former tag team champion challenged Gunther to a match, which the latter accepted in a heartbeat. The Austrian joked to Jimmy that he better not trip and fall like his brother. Big Jim laughed it off before smacking the world champ in the face. The slap felt personal and even made the viewers wince at first glance.

Jey Uso’s reply to his doubters ahead of Gunther clash at WrestleMania

When he won the Royal Rumble match this year, the polarizing reaction to Jey Uso was evident. While many continue to stay aboard the ‘YEET’ hype train, the former 10-time tag team champ does have his fair share of naysayers as well. They believe Uso dethroning Gunther at WrestleMania 41 might not bode well in the long run.

The Right Hand Man recently addressed the online criticism of the limited moveset he possesses. He admitted that there are a bunch of more technically sound wrestlers in WWE than himself. However, they’re not making an entire arena of people react at their will on a weekly basis, and that’s where Uso trumps the rest of the pack.

Last year, when he buried the hatchet with Jimmy Uso and encountered Roman Reigns for the first time since SummerSlam 2023, The OTC told him that he’s proud of The Yeet Master. A bunch of fans are hoping to get a similar interaction between Reigns and Uso before the latter lands in Vegas to take on Gunther. A much-needed stamp of approval from The Tribal Chief may do wonders for his ‘Uce’.
