Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence admitted his responsibility as the team lost their third game. The Jaguars lost to the Buffalo Bills by a huge scoreline on MNF yesterday to become one of the three teams in the league with 0-3 starts.

The Jaguars, currently 4th in the AFC South behind the Tennessee Titans, lost to the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. The Jaguars sat back when the Dolphins scored 13 unanswered points. They handed the Cleveland Browns their first win in Week 2 before losing the Bills game this week.

On Monday, the Jaguars collapsed to a 34-3 deficit by halftime, the largest in franchise history. Eventually, they ended up losing 47-10, aiding in keeping the Bills 3-0 into the season. In light of the failure, Lawrence noted that the loss felt more than a disappointment – but took most of the blame on himself.

Disappointment would be an understatement. It’s just one of those times when we don’t have any momentum. It seems like everyone takes their turn in making a bad play at the wrong time, including myself.
Trevor Lawrence said to the reporters

Lawrence completed 21 of 38 passes for 178 yards and threw a touchdown pass to tight end Brenton Strange on the opening drive of the second half. He also handed Damar Hamlin, his first career interception while overthrowing a pass intended for receiver Brian Thomas Jr.

I’ve got to play really well for us to win. That’s the NFL. The quarterback has to play well every week in order to give us a shot to win. I don’t feel like I’ve done that consistently enough. So I put that on myself.
Trevor Lawrence added

Lawrence, one of the most-paid players in the NFL now accumulated an eight-game losing streak. His last victory came against the Houston Texans in 2023 November. Last year, the Jaguars started 8-3, unlike this year before fumbling to 9-8 by the end of the season.

Jaguars HC joins Trevor Lawrence in admitting that the game was disappointing

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson termed the game as disappointing stating that they haven’t been playing good football for some time.

It’s real shocking, very disappointed. You hate to say it, but the reality of it is this is who we are right now. We’re not a very good football team. And we’ve got to get it fixed.
Doug Pederson said

He also admitted that he needed to set up better plays and be a better coach in general. In his eight years as head coach, Pederson has never started any season 0-3, a dismal record he now holds. The coach is also worried about how the three losses will impact their playoff chances moving forward.

In the coming weeks, The Jaguars will play division rivals Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts in the coming weeks. The Jaguars will attempt to avoid an 0-4 start and remove themselves from the no-win club of Tennessee Titans and Cincinnati Bengals.
