GXR Esports announce new BGMI lineup

Galaxy Racer Esports, popularly known as GXR Esports who were recently under the limelight have revamped their Battlegrounds Mobile India roster for participating in the upcoming tournaments.

Battlegrounds Mobile India, developed by Krafton is the Indian rebrand of PUBG Mobile. The arrival of this battle royale game came at a time when gaming industry’s future looked bleak. The game has contributed significantly towards the growth of eSports as many leading organizations are announcing their entry towards this game by signing new or retaining their previous rosters of PUBG Mobile.

GXR Esports had announced their BGMI entry by retaining their PUBG Mobile roster, however, most of players were benched due to some controversial issues. This abrupt announcement left the fans flabbergasted and they eagerly waited for the organization to announce a new roster.

Nigma Galaxy

Based in UAE, Galaxy Racer Esports is one of the most successful eSports organization that has active rosters in PUBG Mobile, Free Fire, Dota 2, League of Legends and CS:GO. On 20th September,2021 GXR Esports merged with Team Nigma to form Nigma Galaxy.

Prior to the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, GXR Esports had acquired the PUBG Mobile team of Celtz Esports which participated in several tournaments of PUBG Mobile. On 3rd July, they entered India by retaining their PUBG Mobile roster. The previous BGMI roster of GXR Esports consisted of the players:

  • Ultron (Hemanth Sethi)
  • Owais (Mohammad Owais Lakhani)
  • MaxKash (Akash Anandani)
  • MJ (Harshit Mahajan)

Owais, Ultron and RoXX were benched as the organization stated unprofessional conduct, breach of contact from these players. MaxKash also went inactive on medical grounds. The only player retained was MJ. This announcement raised several questions as to the future of this organization in India. All the speculations were put to rest when the organization today, announced their updated Battlegrounds Mobile India roster:

  • Skrillz (Prajwal)
  • MJ (Harshit Mahajan)
  • Seervi (Naresh Kumar)
  • Ted (Manmeet Singh)

Ted and Seervi were former players of this organization, therefore, many prediction were made as to their addition in the new BGMI lineup of GXR Esports. The addition of Skrillz came as a surprise to the fans. Skrillz was previously seen in the BGMI roster of iYD Esports x Team Tamilas. Although iYD Esports released their roster by parting ways with Team Tamilas.

Ted, Seervi and MJ hold the experience of competitive gameplay, therefore, fans are keeping high expectations from them. Having 3 deadly assaulters on board and an eminent in game leader, all eyes are now set on the performance of this new roster.
