Team USA is locked in for the 2024 Paris Olympics. With all eyes on the Simone Biles-led gymnastics team, she is keeping lofty aspirations. Four gold, one silver, two bronze – a career does not get more storied than hers. But expediting more wins is not for the coveted ‘gold medal’ anymore. For Simone Arianne Biles Owens, it is about fulfilling a dream.
Her dream, to be more precise. The senior international elite from Bannon’s Gymnastix Inc. suffered a grave case of “the twisties”, at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. U.S. Women’s Team’s technical leader Chellsie Memmel has kept the safety net open to not make this solely her legacy return. But Biles, 27, is all ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Taking to her socials, (@simonebiles) on Instagram. she reiterated four words that define her resolve.

Simone Biles wasn’t at the opening ceremony for the Paris Olympics
Forbes’ Caroline Price has detailed how the U.S. Gymnastics “redeem team” has been firing on all cylinders at the Olympic Podium Training. Subsequently, it may all come down to Biles and her team’s quick maneuverability and decision-making. While set to compete in her third Games, all work and no play makes Simone Biles eagle-sighted.
The 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony began at 1:30 p.m. EDT (reairs on NBC.com, and the NBC app). It was a matter for the ages. A runway segment with a drag rendition of ‘The Last Supper’ did catch some flak. Other than that, it was an all-star affair. Laser shows, a torch display atop the Musee d’Orsay, Rafael Nadal and Serena Williams, the scope of Beyonce, with Lady Gaga performing. It was all there. But, Biles and other members of the U.S. gymnasts team skipped the starter.
As athletes rode floaters along the stem of River Seine, Simone Biles’ mother, Nellie Biles, spoke to @TODAYshow‘s Hoda Kotb. She confirmed that the team is conserving energy in anticipation of the games.

The gymnast did get her shining moment to FaceTime with Hoda and Snoop Dogg during the ceremony. The rapper was ecstatic in greeting her. With the U.S. Olympic women’s gymnastics team star back for a third go, it’s a hard step forward. With the record for most World Championship medals in gymnastics, the artistic gymnast is a reckoning force. But for now, she keeps the effort on.
