American gymnastics champ Simone Biles on Tuesday took to social media announcing her engagement to long-time boyfriend and NFL player Jonathan Owens. The couple has been dating for the last two years now ever since they met during the COVID-19 lockdown in the States.
Biles publicly declared her relationship with Owens in 2020 and the duo has been quite vocal about each other in the public. Simone and Jonathan have time and again expressed their love in interviews as well as on their respective social media handles.
The 24-year-old gymnast shared a few pictures of the proposal on her Twitter and wrote, “WOKE UP A FIANCÉE ??? I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married! ??@jjowens_3.” Biles was clearly thrilled by the thought of marrying Owens.
“THE EASIEST YES…I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ ???? @jowens_3,” she captioned her recent Insta post.
On the other hand, Owens took to his Instagram account and wrote: “Woke up this morning with a fiancée?❤️ Appreciate my dawg @don_julio314 for helping me set everything up, she really had no clue what was coming ? @zofrost you went crazy on this one bro really made the night special ??
