“I would’ve taken it!”: Simone Biles given colouring book on flight back from White House Ceremony
Simone Biles
US Gymnast Simone Biles has had quite the week. Biles and national soccer team star Megan Rapinoe were presented with the nation’s highest civilian honour, the Presidential Medal of Freedom. They received this honour by President Joe Biden at the White House in a ceremony recently.
Biles is the most decorated gymnast in the world, holding over 32 Olympic and World Championship medals. She has also been an outspoken advocate of mental health, as she has allowed people open up about their struggles. On her way back from the White House however, Biles came across a funny experience. On the journey back, a flight attendant gave her a colouring book, presuming that she is a child because of Biles’ height- a mere 4’8″.
