Haason Reddick finds himself on the Detroit Lions radar days after hiring Drew Rosenhaus as his new agent
Haason Reddick's holdout saga might see a resolution very soon as his new agent Drew Rosenhaus has reportedly spoken with the Lions for a trade.

It did not take long for Drew Rosenhaus to find a new suitor for his latest client, Haason Reddick. According to sources, the Detroit Lions reached out for a possible trade.
The Lions are desperately looking to fill the void left by 2024 sack leader Aidan Hutchinson, who is out for the season after suffering a devastating leg injury in the week 6 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Insiders claim that the Lions’ front office has shortlisted five players; among them are Raiders Maxx Crosby (Michigan native) and Reddick.
Reddick appears to be the likeliest candidate to jump ship to Detroit. His holdout continued even after CAA, his former agency, cut him for lack of transparency not long after he racked up $10 million in penalties.
Regardless, the Jets allowed the Pro Bowler to search for a trade partner even after owner Woody Johnson personally asked for him to return to the facility. Not long after, Reddick announced signing a contract with NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus. A couple of days later, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed that the Lions are in contact with Rosenhaus for a possible trade.
He further confirmed the Lions’ interest through a separate post.
The #Lions have checked in on the Haason Reddick situation, per source. Could just be diligence. But Dan Campbell promised that GM Brad Holmes is doing his homework and that appears to be the case here. https://t.co/Wueh5pfTDt

Drew Rosenhaus knows what Haason Reddick wants
Rosenhaus spoke with the New York Post’s Brian Costello and hinted at the next step in Reddick’s saga. It has been clear for a while that his client has no interest in playing for the New York franchise, and if a team comes with an offer that satisfies his demands, then he will happily sign with them.
It now becomes a waiting game, but as for the Lions, they badly need a quality replacement for Hutchinson.
The Lions have a $31.1 million salary cap. They have the means to easily pay out Reddick’s $14.5 million due, which they can convert some of to a signing bonus.
Now, all that rests upon how much they are willing to send to the Jets. Perhaps an early third-round pick would suffice.
