Rising Serbian player Hamad Medjedovic hopes to take everything from Novak Djokovic and implement it in his own game. He praised his compatriot for his professionalism and his drive for success.
Medjedovic has always been a fan of Djokovic, who is widely considered not only the best Serbian tennis player ever but also the best player to have graced the sport. On top of that, the 24-time Grand Slam champion is also regarded as one of the finest athletes in the world currently.
While Djokovic’s success on the court has inspired many youngsters over the years, Medjedovic’s connection with the veteran stems from different reasons. When he had trouble managing his finances in the early part of his career, it was Djokovic who came forward to help an aspiring tennis star.
While Medjedovic has established himself financially now, his perspective of his senior has not changed. When asked which qualities he would steal from Djokovic’s game, he said that there was little he would not like to take.
Everything. Everything. Please, everything. I would definitely take all of his game. What would you take from someone who’s the best tennis player ever? I think everything is the right answer. Look at his body, his mentality. It’s everything. It’s literally everything. He has it all. He’s so professional. He’s so disciplined, even though he’s 37 now, right? It’s just amazing how he treats his body after all these years. It’s just amazing to see him play tennis.Hamad Medjedovic said about Novak Djokovic as per CLAY

Besides sharing his admiration for Novak Djokovic, Hamad Medjedovic also hopes to face his idol on the court someday before the veteran calls time on his career.
However, Medjedovic is not confident about his chances against his senior compatriot. He said that beating Djokovic was impossible and disclosed that he had failed to get the better of the 37-year-old in training sessions.
Yes and no. He’s a beast on court. We’ve practiced many times and we’ve played some good training matches. I think I would love to play him. Not on grass necessarily, but it would be a big pleasure to share the court with him. I don’t think I can beat him. No, we’ve played so many times in practice and I know what he can do. I don’t really believe I can beat him.Hamad Medjedovic said about playing against Novak Djokovic.
Medjedovic was recently in action in the Wimbledon qualifiers, where he managed to beat Daniel Rincon in the first round before losing to Beibit Zhukayev from a set up in the second round.
