George Russell got his well-deserved chance in Mercedes at the start of the season after being replaced with Valtteri Bottas. But Mercedes took a turn with their winning ways after their struggles with the 2022 regulations. George comes from a weaker car and got himself into a struggling car.

George was able to beat his head down in 7 out of the 13 races. He managed to get the first pole of his career and the first pole of Mercedes’ season really justifies his move to the team. As the Mercedes garage has progressed a lot with their current car, the drivers hope to see themselves fighting on the top.

Russell is fourth in the championship with a gap of two points from the driver with the fastest car, Carlos Sainz. He is 12 points ahead of his 7-time world champion teammate Lewis Hamilton.
