The Denver Nuggets played against the Miami Heat on Friday Night away from home, with Heat star Jimmy Butler returning to the startling lineup. Despite all the attention being on Butler, it was the Nuggets star man Nikola Jokic, who stood out during the matchup. The MVP candidate made his presence known on the court.

Jokic recorded his 17th triple-double of the season and his sixth in his previous ten games with 24 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Heat. Jokic is still in control, and his 9/12 field goal shooting is a perfect illustration of his amazing effectiveness. The effort led his side to a 113-137 win. However, it was Jokic’s ‘no-look’ pass to Aaron Gordon that has been making all the headlines lately.

The Nuggets are on track to win more than 60% of their games for the sixth time in the previous seven seasons as Denver hit the halfway point of the season at 25-16. The Nuggets have only finished at.600 or higher on six occasions in their prior 31 seasons before this run. All eyes will be on their upcoming performances this season.
