Harrison Butker’s endorsement for Donald Trump exposes past criticism aimed at LeBron James
Sports and politics have found a common ground as the November elections draw near with Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker making the headlines when he endorsed Donald Trump for the 2024 Presidential race. Butker had attended a rally held by Missouri state senator Josh Hawley, where he expressed his pro-life stance.
However, the endorsement has also shone a spotlight on a potential double standard in media commentary, notably from Fox News reporter Laura Ingraham, who had famously told NBA star LeBron James to “shut up and dribble” when he expressed his political opinions. This double standard was exposed by Jemele Hill on X in response.

Fans have drawn a comparison between his endorsement reason and that of Golden State Warriors superstar, Stephen Curry. The Baby Faced Assassin in contrast is supporting Kamala Harris and has appeared in loads of interviews preaching her gospel.
Furthermore, the Kansas City Chiefs kicker‘s endorsement brings back memories of his other controversies. Such as what happened at a Catholic College graduation earlier this year, where Harrison Butker sparked backlash for delivering a speech seen as misogynistic.

While the election is getting closer and becoming hotter, Vice President Kamala Harris made an appearance on the All The Smoke podcast with hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. While there, she engaged in conversations about her personal life, which included her role as a step-parent.
