The Wembley Stadium in London witnessed one of the most vicious KO wins in recent times. Heavyweight boxers Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua headlined this exciting fight card in front of a 96,000 live crowd. Interestingly, against everyone’s expectations, Dubois obliterated Joshua, leaving fans stunned.
Both heavyweight boxers came into this bout with a win in their last fight. Joshua, in particular, thrashed former UFC star Francis Ngannou in his last bout with a vicious KO. Meanwhile, Dubois comfortably defeated Filip Hrgovic to become the new IBF interim heavyweight champion. Interestingly, that interim status turned into champion when Oleksandr Usyk vacated his IBF belt to set up a fight between ‘AJ’ and ‘Dynamite’.
Joshua entered the bout as a favorite, with several fellow fighters expecting him to win. As such, some even placed their bets on AJ to win. However, that didn’t happen. Dubois started the early rounds very strongly with a knockdown in round 1 itself. Following that, Dynamite continued his rhythm and made Joshua uncomfortable. Finally, during the initial minute of round 5, the damage on AJ was a lot to deal with. On top of that, Dubois landed another powerful right hook to flatline AJ.
Anthony Joshua immediately slept on the canvas. However, he did attempt to crawl back. That is when Joshua’s leg seemed to wobble. As such, he couldn’t get back up and faceplanted himself again. The live audience and the netizens were shocked to see Joshua like that. Meanwhile, a part of the community also heaped praise on Dubois’ exquisite display of boxing.

Daniel Dubois is a rising boxer with an impressive boxing record. Since his professional debut in 2017, he has faced defeat only twice. Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua is a veteran of the pro-boxing community, with over a decade of experience. With that experience as a factor, the expectations for Joshua to win among the fans were high. However, when he failed to pull it off, it drew several reactions from the fight fans.
Most of them were seemingly stunned to see AJ dropped like that. As such, over his decade-long career, Joshua lost only one bout via KO/TKO before the Dubois fight.
