“This is getting serious” – Bayern Munich not playing German Super Cup next season after finishing third in Bundesliga has fans talking about the ‘Harry Kane curse’

Bayern Munich’s season has already gone from bad to worse after it was confirmed that they’ll go this season trophyless. A dominant Bayer Leverkusen snatched away the Bundesliga title from them while Real Madrid knocked them out in the semi-finals in the most frustrating of ways.

As the Bundesliga season came to an end, Bayern Munich dropped even deeper into trouble as they finished their season in third spot! With Harry Kane and his ‘curse’ being singled out as the reason for Bayern’s lack of silverware, the club are now forced to face yet another setback.

After VfB Stuttgart overtook Bayern on the final matchday, the Bavarians are now out of contention to participate in the German Super Cup next season! This means that Kane will have to wait at least until May 2025 to win his first title with Bayern.

The lack of trophies aside, Kane has been spectacular in front of the net this season. The former Tottenham Hotspur captain scored an unbelievable 44 goals and set up another 12 in 45 games in all competitions. He broke the record for most goals in a debut season in the Bundesliga, earlier held by Uwe Seeler.

From missing out on the Bundesliga, UCL and the DFB-Pokal, Bayern’s season has taken another blow after finishing below both Bayer Leverkusen and VfB Stuttgart. After slipping out of second spot, there is no way that Bayern can participate in the German Super Cup at the start of next season.

A fan commented that things have now started to become serious as the Harry Kane curse continues to be felt. Another added that Kane must be the footballer with the worst luck in the game’s history.

Some even agreed that staying at Spurs looked like the better option in hindsight. A fan was worried that Kane may go his entire career without winning a single trophy. The fact that his goals came to no avail this season were truly heartbreaking for many.

While Spurs’ season was equally bad or arguably worse, certain supporters remained confident that both Kane and Spurs will claim a trophy next season. Kane is under contract with Bayern until June 2027. Despite having initial hiccups with Thomas Tuchel, Kane has assured Bayern fans that he’s staying at the club next season and going again for every trophy up for grabs.
