Harry Kane has been criticized throughout his career for failing to lift a significant trophy. His terrible luck is set to continue for at least a year as Real Madrid came out victorious in the semi-final of the only competition that Bayern had a chance of winning. Moreover, Kane’s record managing to cancel out Kingsley Coman‘s record of winning a League title in every season of his senior career has also gone viral.

As Thomas Tuchel is set to leave the club at the end of a disastrous season, Kane will have to go again next year in his pursuit of a senior trophy.

Kane’s involvement in the second leg was limited to two shots on target as both forced Andriy Lunin into conceding corner kicks. He was subbed off by Tuchel in the 85th minute to accommodate Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

After losing out on the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen and being knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by FC Saarbrücken, the UCL was Bayern’s last chance at claiming silverware.

Following the elimination, a fan commented that the Harry Kane curse was something that needs to be studied. Kane and Tottenham received all of the blame for Bayern going trophyless. While a few chose to shift the blame on Tuchel, the general consensus was that Kane may never in fact win silverware in his career.

Many mocked Bayern while others were convinced that Real went through solely because of the refereeing ‘error’ in the final minutes of the game. Some found it surprising that Carlo Ancelotti had never lost a single a single game to Bayern as a manager. Following the defeat, Bayern only have two league games left to play, though it will not affect their fate.
