Holger Rune signed endorsement deals with Nike even before turning pro and was often seen wearing the Nike Air Zoom Vapor Pro tennis shoes. But recent rumors claimed that they have parted ways. Upon seeing the false claim, Rune decided to quash it himself.
On August 10, a social media handle wrote about the ‘insiders’ who revealed to them that Nike’s association with Rune has finally come to an end, and he will have a new sponsor before the US Open. Rune criticized those insiders and his reply put an end to all the rumors.
Don’t know who these insiders are but they are not very good at their job I can tell you that . I am very happy with my Nike collaboration.Holger Rune wrote on X

Rune, who withdrew from the Olympics due to a wrist injury, recently played the Canadian Open. He reached the fourth round but was defeated in straight sets by Alexander Zverev. He is now set to play at the Cincinnati Open and is scheduled to face Italy’s Matteo Berrettini on August 12th in the Round of 64.
Holger Rune previously stopped rumors about former coach Patrick Mouratoglou
This is not the first time Holger Rune decided to debunk claims himself. Ahead of the start of this year’s Wimbledon, the Dane’s former coach, Boris Becker, was confused about whether Rune and his then-coach, Patrick Mouratoglou were still working together.
Quick question: I see @pmouratoglou in London but NOT with @holgerrune2003 at @Wimbledon…they are still working together?!?Boris Becker wrote on X

Becker took up the coaching duties for Rune last year. In February this year, however, Becker revealed that he decided to part ways with Rune because of his inability to be available more for the youngster. Rune joined hands with Mouratoglou next, but as Becker was curious about them not working together and expressed the same on social media instead of asking him directly, Rune took a slight dig at him.
Super strange you don’t ask me this question directly as we text together about other stuff The answer to your question is yes we work together. Sharing the tournaments between us as planned.Holger Rune’s reply to Boris Becker

Rune reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon and lost to finalist Novak Djokovic in straight sets. After Wimbledon, Rune announced on social media that he would no longer be coached by Mouratoglou. Kenneth Carlsen is currently handling the coaching duties for the 21-year-old.
