Hawaii has been the Golden State Warriors training camp location for the past week. In preparation for their preseason matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers, the Warriors traveled to the University of Hawaii from BYU. It is located on the north shore of Oahu. Notably, Stephen Curry stole the headlines in the matchup against the Clippers.

It is always a thrilling moment when teams fly to Hawaii for preseason and training camp because there are no NBA franchises there. Furthermore, fans were in immense numbers to watch the 4-time NBA champion face the Clippers. Not only that, during a particular period in the second quarter, the Hawaiian fans erupted with ‘MVP’ chants towards Curry.

Moreover, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr disclosed to reporters before the game that star point guard Steph Curry would play only until the first half. On the other hand, James Harden started this game in place of Clippers star Kawhi Leonard, who is sidelined due to right knee rehabilitation. Curry put on a good show for the fans.

Curry played only around 14 minutes and ended the game with 9 points, one assist, and two rebounds. The Warriors saw out a narrow 90-91 win in Hawaii. However, these matches are mainly for the players to return to match fitness. Nevertheless, Curry and Co. will be looking to make an early impression in the upcoming NBA season.
