“He ain’t LeBron” – Kevin Durant advised to team up with MVP-runner Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Former Boston Celtics champion Paul Pierce suggests that it might be time for Kevin Durant to leave Phoenix and reunite with the OKC Thunder.
Paul Peirce says that the Suns and KD experiment is over
This season, the Phoenix Suns’ playoff hopes don’t look too good, marking their third consecutive season down the drain. After getting swept in the first round of the playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves last season, the Suns haven’t been the same. Consequently, former NBA champion Paul Pierce has advocated for a blockbuster trade deal involving none other than the Suns’ last leg, Kevin Durant.
On the latest episode of “Ticket and The Truth”, Pierce suggested to Kevin Garnett that maybe it’s time for KD to reunite with his former team, the OKC Thunder, and redeem himself. Considering how the Thunder are leading the West this season with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander at the helm, a veteran’s addition could provide the team with much-needed mentorship and championship experience for their young core. Pierce remarked that KD could “help that young team for the next five years.”
Might be time to blow it all up in Phoenix 😬

Although KG was reluctant at first, he eventually warmed to the idea of the reunion, saying, “It makes sense, and that’s dope.” The 36-year-old’s ability to be one of the best closers in the league is something that shouldn’t be squandered in Phoenix, as the experiment there is long over.
However, despite sliding down to the bottom of the barrel in the West, Phoenix Suns has been in the headlines due to trade drama involving Jimmy Butler. Apparently, it’s his most preferred spot, next to KD and the organization is also ready to offer Butler a two-year, $121 million contract extension, as per Kendrick Perkins. If this complicated deal gets through before the trade deadline, this will certainly change the dynamics in the West.
Paul Pierce defends Kevin Durant’s first-round loss, saying “his legacy is set in stone”
After Kevin Durant got schooled by his prodigy, Anthony Edwards, last season in the first round of the playoffs, many wondered if it would hurt the 2x NBA champions’ legacy. During his appearance alongside Skip Bayless on Fox’s Undisputed, Paul Pierce took a moment to remind fans and all the other haters including Skip that he is “one of the best ever“.
"Kevin Durant's legacy is set in stone. We recognize him as one of the best ever."

Even in his 17th year with the league, the 15-time NBA All-Star is producing at an elite level. Durant continues to average 27.2 points per game, grab 6.5 boards, and dish out 4.1 assists. On Saturday, the Phoenix Suns will host the struggling Washington Wizards and are expected to pick up an easy win against the team with the worst regular-season record.
