“He always gets reckless and evil once he is losing” Tennis Twitter annoyed on Stefanos Tsitsipas’s hitting a dangerous smash at Jack Draper in Canadian Open

Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a shocking first-round exit at the Canadian Open where he faced defeat against Jack Draper in straight sets 7-5, 7-6(4). His unforced errors and losing composure at crucial points played to his disadvantage and eventually lost the match whereas the British player showed a clinical performance in defeating the Greek player. This was another poor performance shown by the Greek player after his third-round exit at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship losing to Nick Kyrgios in a dramatic match. Although he is yet to win a Grand Slam title, he has nine career titles to his name.

Recently, he confirmed his participation at the Laver Cup which starts in September in Team Europe with a stellar lineup of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray as team-mates and Bjorn Borg as the team captain. It will be his third appearance at the Laver Cup and is unbeaten in the singles category. He beat Nick Kyrgios of Team World in straight sets last year and Taylor Fritz in a super-tiebreak in Geneva three years ago. Tsitsipas won his first title on the grass court after receiving a last-minute wildcard at the Mallorca Open defeating Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 3-6, 7-6(2).

Twitter fans were angered by Stefanos Tsitsipas’s reckless and inhuman act

Stefanos Tsitsipas

During the third-round match at the Canadian Open, Stefanos Tsitsipas showed a moment that went against the spirit of sportsmanship rather showed his reckless and unruly attitude. During the match, the Greek player missed an attempted smash by a mile which went straight into the face of his opponent Jack Draper. It looked as if he was aiming at Draper but instead of apologizing for the miss, asked the umpire for a line check. He looked as of he is not bothered at all. Twitter fans react to finding Tsitsipas act inhuman and reckless and urged the authorities to take some strict action against the player so that he does not repeat such kind of behavior again.
